Sheridan PTO sponsors four easy ways to raise money for Sheridan enrichment programs: |
Clipping BOX TOPS coupons from many of the products you normally buy. |
Look for the little Box Tops logo on any of hundreds of popular products from famous brands like General Mills, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Ziploc, Nature Valley, Old El Paso, Yoplait and dozens more. Just clip the Box Tops coupon from the packaging and turn your Box Tops coupons in at school. There is a special Free Money bucket in each classroom. Each coupon is worth 10¢ when the PTO redeems them for cash. During the 2004-2005 school year, we redeemed 15,500 coupons for $1,550 of free money. |

Recycling inkjet printer cartridges and cell phones. |
Don’t throw away your old cell phone or used-up ink cartridge. Send it to school in your child’s back pack and tell your child to drop it in the Free Money bucket. There’s a bucket in each home room (yes, it’s the same bucket we use for the coupons). Working through a recycling company, your Sheridan PTO gets cash for every cell phone and empty inkjet cartridge we turn in. Note: Inkjet cartridges are generally the size of a small fist. If your cartridge is larger than your fist, it’s probably not an inkjet type. Our recycler does not accept non-inkjet cartridges. |

Charging all your normal credit card purchases on a special Target or Box Tops for Education Visa card. |
When you use either a Target REDcard or a Box Tops VISA card, Sheridan automatically received a cash donation of 1% of your total charges, all year, at no cost to you. Target will donate to Sheridan 1% of your Target purchases and 0.5% of all other purchased charged on your REDcard. Box Tops for Education will donate 1% of all purchases charged on a Box Tops Visa card. These donations cost you nothing; you pay the same price as all other Visa cardholders. Under either the Target program or the Box Tops program, you first have to apply for the credit card and then name Sheridan as the school to receive the future donations. After that, you do nothing differently; just use the Visa card the same way you always have. For details, visit these websites: |

Shopping on-line at participating stores |
If you shop on-line at Lands’ End, Target, Office Depot, Best Buy, Pottery Barn, or any of 200 other stores, your purchases at those stores could qualify for a cash donation to Sheridan of anywhere from 1% to 8% of your total purchase, depending on the store. It costs absolutely nothing to get this Free Money coming to Sheridan, but there are two small catches: • Catch number one: You need to join the free Box Tops Booster Club. Visit http://www.boxtops4education.com/ to join. • Catch number two: You need to navigate to your favorite on-line store through the Box Tops web site in order for your purchases to qualify for a donation. |
