SPIN
The Sheridan Parent Information Newsletter, the SPIN, provides twice-monthly school announcements and information about general school events. This publication comes home weekly in the oldest/only student’s Friday folder and is available here.
Website
The Sheridan PTO web site provides information about the PTO’s activities, minutes from our meetings, lists of PTO organizers , photos of past activities and quick links to lunch menus. Parents are encouraged to submit information and photos for the website t o the webmaster.
Approximately once a month, the PTO will send out a mass emailing with information and reminders about upcoming PTO events. If you’d like to be included in the mailing, please include your email address when you return the Volunteer Form or send a note to info@sheridanpto.org.
Grounds
Outdoor Classroom
Plans are underway for the construction of a new outdoor classroom at Sheridan. Updates will be given at PTO meetings throughout the year.
Merchandise
Apparel
During the year, we offer various styles and colors of our Sharkwear apparel. Order forms will be sent home in students' Friday folders.
Original Artworks
Under the guidance of Sheridan's art teacher, Ms Shaw, Sheridan students create artwork which can then be transferred to mugs, mouse pads, t-shirts, etc.
School Pictures & Yearbook
The PTO utilizes the services of Inter-State Studios will once again be taking our students’ photographs and photo packages will be available. School picture information will be sent home in September. Yearbooks will be available for purchase at the end of the year.

Volunteers
The PTO coordinates volunteers for numerous school events and class activities. If you would like to be involved, fill out a Volunteer Form and return it to the school office.
Staff Services
Arts Enrichment
Our PTO sponsors visits from local and national musicians, writers and visual artists throughout the school year. These guest provide our students witha variety of artistic explorations.
Conference Dinners
The PTO provides dinner the four conference nights during the year. At those times, the Sheridan staff puts in numerous extra hours and is very appreciative of the meal awaiting them in the teachers lounge..
Courtesy
Teacher Appreciation snacks, acknowledgments of births & deaths & weddings, a last-work-day-of-the-year luncheon — all of these are organized by the PTO Courtesy Committee as a way of honoring and supporting the hard-working staff at Sheridan.
